The leafy woody plants in the willow family are deciduous and can be low-growing shrubs or medium-sized trees. When purchasing large amounts of wood, it is usually sold as a "cord".   A full cord is when the wood is stacked four feet high by four feet wide by eight feet long (4 ft. x 4 ft. x 8 ft.).
